The Movement Thesis
A protocol for recorded journeys.
Abstract
Most NFTs remember ownership, not experience. Punk Multiverse turns a Punk into a Traveler: one identity that can move through parallel worlds, check in, leave the ship, return, enter exile, and eventually turn a route into final art.
Prometheus records the ship route. The Traveler records the personal journey. The contract verifies that the coordinate record was not forged.
The system does not promise yield or manufacture demand. It gives a token a stricter kind of memory: movement paid for, coordinates recorded, and history chosen by the holder.
§ 01The static NFT problem
Most NFTs remember ownership, not experience. They can be bought, sold, listed, transferred, and verified, but they usually do not remember where they have been.
Punk Multiverse treats a Punk as a Traveler. The token still has ownership, but it can also accumulate route history: a sequence of recorded coordinates chosen by the holder.
§ 02The Traveler model
A Traveler begins from a Birth State. If it remains onboard, it follows Prometheus. If it explores, it anchors to a personal coordinate. If it enters U9999, it becomes Exiled until recalled.
These modes are not flavor text. They are the protocol shape of the identity: Birth, Onboard, Exploring, Exiled.
§ 03The two logs
Prometheus records the ship route. The Traveler records the personal journey. The contract verifies that the coordinate record was not forged.
This distinction matters. The ship can move without writing your personal history. You appear in your own route only when you check in, or when Explore checks in for you.
§ 04Coordinate-proven memory
A Personal Log is not a message board. It is a coordinate-proven check-in.
The contract does not prove that a human had a particular feeling at a world. It proves that the recorded coordinate follows protocol rules: valid state, valid sequence, no forged destination.
§ 05$PMU as movement fuel
$PMU is not a free claim. It is movement fuel.
It is released through sacrifice and destroyed through action. Exile releases PMU into circulation. Explore, Record Passage, Return, Recall, and Captain auctions consume it.
§ 06Final art from route
Read Code is not minted from static traits. It is minted from a route.
Fifty Forms compresses 50 recorded coordinates from one Traveler into final art. The Traveler is not consumed. The route becomes source material, and the journey continues.
§ 07What the protocol does not do
The protocol does not promise yield, manufacture demand, or write a journey for the holder.
It only verifies the journey the holder chose to record. If no one moves, no history appears. If a Traveler moves, the route becomes part of the token.
Movement has cost. Check-in has proof. Route has memory. Final art comes from recorded travel.
